Highlights of May 19 (Wed), 2010
Opening General Session, Exhibits, Luncheon, Meet and Greet
Hawaii Convention Center

The 36th Annual Conference of the American Water Works Association - Hawaii Section opened on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010 at the Hawaii Convention Center. Hawaii Section Chair Daryl Hiromoto provided the opening remarks and Debra Kaye, Vice-President of the American Water Works Association, provided an update on the affairs of the Association.

A total of 34 exhibitor booths were located in the Maui Room. Conference attendees were able to watch the exciting Annual Pipe Tapping Contest held on the Convention Center Rooftop Garden. Mufi Hannemann, Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, provided the luncheon audience an update of the many things happening in the City.

At the end of the day, conference attendees and exhibitors were able to unwind and catch up with one another at the annual Meet and Greet.
